I had to remove the back solar panel and will replace it with a smaller one. I also fabricated L-brackets to move the front solar panels three inches forward to clear the a/c unit. Removed the Fantastic Vent and prepared the vent opening.
You can see the new 110volt wire that I ran to the back of the trailer where the breaker box sits. Fabricated corner brackets to strenghten the vent hole.

Then sealed the vent hole, which is an important step to avoid any cool air from getting between the skins instead of down where it belongs.
Ready for installation.
The Dometic unit I chose weighs 70 lbs., cannot be dragged and what with the aluminum roof and round sides, there was no way for me to get the a/c unit on the roof. So I got help from the folks at RV Panther Products. This is how the pros get it done and make it look easy:

The lower unit cover was white. I spray painted it a very light beige to better match the trailer interior.
