When I had the roof air conditioner installed I had to remove the rear solar panel to make room to move the fan vent towards the back of the trailer. Luckily there was still enough room on the roof to install a smaller panel. Here you can see the wiring to the original rear panel.
The new panel capacity is 100 Watt. I am reusing the two rear attachment brackets from the previous panel.
Down below you can see one of the four attachment brackets to the new solar panel being installed, the wood piece is just to make sure the drill bit does not hit the back of the panel.
Then the electrical connectors are mated and shrink wrapped. I have also taped the wires to the panel and later the connectors to the trailer roof to secure it and avoid any vibration or tension on the wiring.
Here is the final product. Fits nice and snug! The fan vent opens away from the panel so will not cast a shadow on the panel and render it useless. There is not a whole lot of extra room left on the roof, definitely getting my money's worth of that real estate!
